JMDreviews "Big Tits Zombie"

Well, I haven't reviewed a movie in a while, so why not start back up with a bang by reviewing "Big Tits Zombie". This movie starts actresses I don't care about that apparently do pornography movies in Japan. Since I don't know these people over here, I guess they're not super popular, but what do I know, I'm an American fool.

Now, why did I watch a movie called "Big Tits Zombie"? I don't know, I just was scrolling through Demonoid and saw it there in the "Movies" section. Now, my first thought when I saw this poster was "Wow, this movie looks like it's going to be a hilariously bad," and...I was wrong. Slightly.

Now, I love bad movies, like I've said before. Video Brinquido makes some of the worst rip-off movies that I find hilarious simply because of how terrible they are. I love watching movies like The Room and Birdemic because they're done in such a way that they just make me really happy that a movie can be this terribly amusing. Big Tits Zombie on the other hand, wasn't that kind of movie. So I'll just stop talking about preferences and jump right into the review.

Big Tits Zombie (running time: 69 minutes) stars these five different girls who are erotic dancers and find themselves trapped in a wave of zombie madness caused by one of them (25 minutes in). As unimportant things happen, It's up to two of the five girls to fight off this problem and put the dead back in Hell where they belong (54 minutes in).

It's pretty much your cut and dry horror/comedy/action/sexy exploration film, except with Japanese flair thrown in. There's violence, partial nudity, and bad acting/cinematography, y'know, the staples of the genre. But, honestly, I don't really have that much to say in terms of quality with this movie. You can pretty much stare at the poster for 69 minutes and you've got the movie...no wait, scratch that. The poster looks FAR more interesting than the film (not that the poster is a thing of wonder, either).

So, this set up kind of sort of brings to question the name of the film. "Big Tits Zombie"? I get the Zombie part of it, but "Big Tits"? Why would you put that as a title? They're not even big, unless you thing big means B-cup. And honestly, are you trying to draw some people into the movie for what amounts to about 20-30 seconds of breasts? Because it's not worth the wait. Believe me, being a lover of the female body, I wasn't even excited when they finally came up (24 minutes in + 62 minutes in). It just felt like it was padding the movie a bit and acting as if the title ACTUALLY meant something.

It doesn't.

Seriously, the two parts (let me emphasize "TWO PARTS" in a movie with the words "Big Tits" in the title) where they show the women's breasts in the film actually bored me. I was just confused. Was it supposed to be funny or erotic for these girls to have their boobs soaked (correction, overly misted) in the zombie's blood? Because it wasn't, it was boring. I know that this film was done in a nation that thrives on the weird, but I honestly can't see anyone finding this worth spending their lonely Friday nights with. I didn't even get the chubs.

Now, let's look to the poster for a second. Can you guess who's the villain of the movie? I'll give you a hint, it's the one that looks COMPLETELY different from the rest. Yep, the villain. At first, I didn't think she'd be the villain, based on how she's looking all "heroic" in the picture, but no. She is. And a rather sucky one at that. She doesn't bring any fear to me, just pointless concern that she shouldn't even be villainous and stick to her job of being a gothic asian chick.

Poster again. the girl in the center. What's she holding? A chainsaw. When you think of Chainsaw and horror/comedy, what do you think of?

and rightfully so, because this movie borrows a good bit of its mojo from Evil Dead 2. You've got the chainsaw, the necronomicon, the zombies (deadites) from reading the passage, all that good stuff. I suppose the references are nice to see, but I feel like the references are a bit too forced to feel legitimately like its own story, but it does that later. Trust me. And it's not for the better.

This movie bored me, honestly. You'd think a movie titled "Big Tits Zombie" would have something fun in it, or at least be outlandishly goofy enough to get some laughs out of. But no, it's not. It's just a poor excuse of a film. I feel like I've wasted so much time, it's ridiculous, and the ending is so unsatisfying and goofy that it just makes you hate it even more.

But, to be fair, it's not the worst film I've ever seen, because I've definitely seen worse. The beginning, to be honest, had one scene with a man on the street saying "You broke into my cardboard box" that gave me a laugh. There were also a few goofy moments that made me laugh during the film, and one point that made me have to pause the movie and recollect myself. I won't give it away, but let's just say it gives the term "firecrotch" new meaning.

But really it's really just a sad excuse to get people into the theater just for the "BIG TITS" namesake.
It won't kill you if you decide to watch it for yoursef, but it's not much of a benefit either.

Things That Piss Me Off! Sir Billi

Welcome to the new segment of the blog that I call:

A new segment of the blog in which I discuss general things in movies, shows, and overall media that tend to piss me off. And I'm gonna start this thing off with something that pissed me off more that any animated movie ever has.

Sir Billi

Simply looking at this film's trailer fills me with rage, and there's several reasons why. Now, to start off, I like poorly animated movies from time to time. In fact, I even dedicated a facebook group to a company that makes a lot of the poorly written, badly animated movies that I enjoy. Video Brinquido.

"Yes. Them"

The fact that most of their entire stock of films are ripoffs of currently popular movies at the time of their releases makes them something of a funny fuel to me. Their lack of proper lip sync, their overall poor characters, bad animation, and just simply poor structures of their films make their work extremely laughable to me.

But this movie.

OH GOD, THIS MOVIE.

There are several things I find in this movie that both make it bad and make it rageful.

Some of the "bad" moments of this, just by looking at it, are the overall characters. They look awful, unoriginal, and just downright terrible.

"Yep, those look like characters I'll remember for years to come"

I don't understand how a skateboarding grandfather character is "cool". Even as a guy whose pretty much super childish can't see the overall joy in this. It's stupid and poorly conceived. And before I move on, another quick gripe. Why is he named "Sir Billi"? I mean, I know Sean Connery (why!?) has a Sir prior to his name, but is it just to further connect him to his voice actor? If so, I'd be extremely pissed off. I'd hate to be overly connected to such a terrible character.

Another bad thing is the story. Right now, the hinted story is basically "Skateboarding grandfather who bands together people from his town to save a beaver". That concept alone feels like it'll make billions at the box office, don't you think?

No.

It's stupid. It doesn't even bring anything new to the table. Well, I suppose that's not true. It does bring a new layer of stupidity to the table. Something unmatched by any film that I've seen ever since I saw the simple cover of Theodore Rex.

"Oh yeah, that looks like a winner"

It just bothers me how there are people who think this kind of thing can sell. It can't. IT CAN'T. Who would want to watch a boatload of fecal matter like this? It doesn't even look clever.

Now, time for the things that fill me with RAGE.

The fact that Sean Connery came out of retirement to do THIS movie. Did he seriously think this movie had the potential to match anything out today? Did he read the script? Did he think that this would be a worthwhile venture to leap back into the world of film over?

It's very sad. It's very sad indeed. Especially for a man whose been in such wonderful films prior. It's almost heartbreaking.

Another thing that kind of pisses me off, yet makes me laugh a bit, is the fact that they make the effort to mention Alan Cummings' character, but don't give him any real speaking role in the trailer. He only says two things. He screams and says "look". That's all he says. Why bother mentioning someone in your trailer if you're not going to bother doing anything with them in it? I think that's shoddy trailer work, honestly.

But, the thing that makes me upset the most is the overall animation. It's terrible. It looks like Early Playstation 2 graphics. It's just like "Hoodwinked", another movie I didn't want to watch because it looked so poor. I saw it eventually and it actually was an okay film, but what it lacked in presentation, it made up for in overall storytelling. It had a fairly interesting plot. But SIR BILLI!? MY GOD. NOTHING.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE IS POOR.

As a lover of animation and animated films of all kinds, it's really depressing to see something like this being made. To quote the Nostalgia Critic, "Who put money into this thinking they'd honestly get it back?"

This is awful.

During my departure, I purchased a new tablet to replace my smaller, less amazing one. Don't get me wrong, Bamboo Fun and I have had our good times, but I felt it was time for me to move on and mature into a new breed of tablet. I stepped up and got myself an Intuos4 medium.

My old Bamboo Fun is currently sitting on the end of my desk, everything wrapped up, waiting to maybe soon move to a new home. It's served me well over the two years I've had it, and since the tablet should have enough juice going for at least another two years, I want to give it to someone else who needs its guiding stylus touch.

Also, I graduated from high school and received a Gateway laptop from my Uncle Lewis.

Other than that, there's not much new news to be had. I'll ATTEMPT to get back into the swing of updating this blog with more artwork, but I can't really make any promises after all the promises I've made before.

Yep. Whilst drawing with my friend Sif, she used my love for hips and created some form of myself that is alternate. Basically, she created a female JMD. Complete with boobs and hips and magic. I'm amazed and kind of weirded out by how hot fem-me is. But, whatever. I'm a weird fellow. So, basically, I've finally been Rule 63'd.

The first drawing is the original one that Sif drew, the second is an inked version that I did (because I was made to do it), the third one I drew in my sketchbook today, and the last one is one I drew when I got home today before I took a 4-hour nap.

She doesn't have a name, but I suppose I'll just simply add an "e" to my name and call her "Justine".

Christmas is coming.
In fact, in less than a week.
So, I thought I'd post up some "reason for the season"

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register.So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.' Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.' When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about.' So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about the child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

UPDATE: Well, it's been a good chunk of time since I've last updated this blog. There's really no real reason why I haven't, it's just that I got lazy and didn't do so. But, here's the get-down of what's been going on with me recently.

I saw Disney's Princess and the Frog. Twice. And greatly appreciated the film. It's a great step forward into bringing the medium of Traditional Animation back into feature films. Currently, I'm listening to my favourite song from the movie, "Friends on the Other Side", which by any means has to be the catchiest song from the movie in my opinion. Definitely going to purchase this film when it's available on DVD/Blu-Ray. Heck, I might see it in the theaters again before it goes out, because I liked it so much.

Today, I've officially entered Christmas Break from school. Two entire weeks free from the school system. Makes me feel pretty good. I don't have to worry about getting shiznit done for classes, so that's a great weight removed from my shoulders.

I think hips on a woman are awesome.

I laid out my Christmas list for my folks, which consists of a lot of books. I'm really the one who's going to get the bulk of gifts this year, since my father only wants something basic, my mom only wants The Cosby Show later seasons on DVD, and my brother only wants money. So, it's pretty awesome, but it's also a bit depressing that there won't be as much of an assortment of gifts for everyone this year.

I still don't think Anime is as great as everyone says it is.

Catie and I have connecting icons on dA, because I was bored.

I'm also doing those commissions for an anonymous source that only I know, because I know how to use the interwebs. I'm hoping to get those done by the end of this year, which is something I'm pretty sure that I can succeed at doing. (still wish I would've charged more, but what's done is done)

And, that's it for the moment. I'm planning on getting more stuff done for this blog in the upcoming weeks, because Christmas is coming. Christmas.
